HSBC is Hiring Automation Test Engineer/Software Engineer 2024 – HSBC’s origins in India date back to 1853 when the Mercantile Bank of India was established in Mumbai. The bank has grown steadily and now offers products and services to corporate and commercial banking clients and retail customers.

The Mercantile Bank of India, London and China was founded in Bombay (now Mumbai). By 1855, the Mercantile Bank had opened offices in London, Madras (Chennai), Colombo, Kandy, Calcutta (Kolkata), Singapore, Hong Kong, Canton (Guangzhou) and Shanghai. In 1950 it moved into its new head office building at Flora Fountain in Mumbai.

The Mercantile Bank was bought in 1959 by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. Founded in 1865 to serve the needs of the merchants of the China coast and finance the growing trade between China, Europe and the US, HSBC has been an international bank from its earliest days.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and supporting test automation scripts for test infrastructure and providing automation solutions.
• Take full ownership of and maintain a robust QA environment, including test databases and system deployments.
• Devise test strategies to adequately cover requirements, develop high-level test scenarios that implement the strategy, and elaborate scenarios into detailed test cases.
• Conduct training and best practice sessions with QA Team.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to develop and maintain test schedules within established project management methodologies.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in JAVA or Python to develop Test automation frameworks using automation tools like Selenium, TestNG and Junit.
• Working knowledge on products like Pega, CIM and VCX is helpful.
• Also, expertise in Automation framework development using Selenium or Tosca. Strong expertise in different types of Performance testing like Load testing, Stress testing, Peak testing and Volume testing using tools like JMeter.
• Also, expertise in Software development best practices Strong understanding of CI/CD principles.
• Expert knowledge of writing technical documentation/defects and issues Hands on experience using source control systems such as GitHub. Good Experience of ETL testing and strong in SQL queries.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills; attention to detail, thoroughness, and strong ownership of work
